Master P Starts Youth Basketball League In New Orleans To Help Steer Kids From Crime

Poverty and crime are at an all time high in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Schools are closing for the Summer and most kids have nowhere to go and nothing to do. Percy Miller aka Master P, a native of New Orleans, understands first hand the danger of idle time in these low-income communities. Master P says, “If you can find somebody to believe in you, it would help you go a long way. I’m a living example that we can better ourselves and that we can come from having nothing but with hard work and education, your dreams are achievable. And that’s why I’m dedicated to being a life coach for the next generation.” Master P has created a safe haven to keep kids off the streets. Let the Kids Grow Youth Basketball League starts this Summer and it’s not just about basketball, it’s about the game of life. The program focuses on at-risk youth by teaching the importance of getting an education, saying no to drugs and following your dreams. For more information go to,
