Master P hands out backpacks and school supplies Let The Kids Grow Foundation

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Rapper and documentary maker Master P. came to Chestnut and 11th Streets and handed out back packs full of schoolsupplies.

Master P, who made a documentary in Louisville about violence, told the crowd of children they had to get an education. He said education saved his life and if you get an education you can be a shooting star.

Now that the kids have all the supplies, Master P said they’re ready to succeed.

“It’s an excuse when kids say I don’t have pencils, I don’t have paper, I don’t have notepads, I can’t do my work,” Master P said. “So now we don’t have that excuses, we want to be excuse free. We want a good start.”

After the children were given their backpacks, the kids and their families lined up to take pictures with him.
